I have been learning carnatic classical (Vocal) for the last 15 years and I also have a passion for light Indian music. BITS Pilani had this wonderful music club where I honed my singing to a great extent and have been fortunate enough to keep the music scene alive as yet. Hi,
I happened to come across your blog while searching for music blogs. I watched some of your Jaya TV ragamalika videos (in which you took part), and they are good! Congratulations. I am also an aspiring singer, studying at the National University of Singapore and have been wanting to join a show like Ragamalika for exposure. Could you advise me on how to join and whom to contact? It would be of great help to me.

First of all, thanks a lot for the comment! Regarding Ragamalika, they will have you go through a couple of rounds of auditions before making you sing in the show. I believe the auditions for the next set of episodes are already over. You would need to keep watching for the next announcement. It is conducted by Maximum Media, and if you need, I can give you their number. You can probably get in touch with them to find out if you can send your CD or something.
