Bad News: :((((((
I could not make it to the finals of Ragamalika this time. The competition was very tight. Though i did well, I didn't have the needed edge since my voice was a lil dry on that day. That was mainly because of some excessive practice the previous day, and that could not be avoided since I was given the songs only on the day before the shoot. I seriously felt I could have done much better than what I actually did, thought I didn't screw up or anything. Just that the performance was not enough for the semis. Anyways, this Ragamalika journey was an amazing experience and a major confidence booster. The crew has said they would call me again for some other series. Would surely keep in mind all the things that went wrong or right this time and take it forward.
Thanks a lot for all your wishes, encouragement and support!!
Good News: :)))))))))
One of my dad's friends is a coordinator for this FM club in MOP Vaishnav College, Chennai and he had called us to their studio yesterday. Surprisingly, I had been called for an interview!!! :) Me and my dad were interviewed for almost an hour and I have sung some songs as well. It is getting aired tomorrow (16th Sep, Sunday) at 6:30 am , 12 noon and 6 pm at the frequency 107.8 MHz. This is my first interview anywhere and I felt like a playback singer sitting and talking about how he groomed himself and all that :D Listen to it if u have the access. Will post the recording as soon as I get it :)

Malli, I cannot believe that all of us are in the same boat now :D
A lot has got to do with whether you are in Chennai or not. Lot of logistics issues.
But then all of us have our works! Adhaan oru periya reality check! :)
But then I believe that the music industry is really booming now and we all will get our shares of the giant pie.. VERY SOON!
Vicky
P.S: One small doubt. MOP-la coffee vending machine irundhudha? :D Please record the interview. We cannot hear it now!
Vicky,
what u have written is very true. we need to be in chennai if we want to pursue music full time. but none of us can afford it, since money is not going to flow right from the beginning. Another thing to note is that we are enjoying music now, by just having it as a serious hobby. once we take it up as a profession, am not sure how things will be, with all the competition and stuff!! Lots of things to consider :) let us see what is in store for us :)
MOPla vending m/c illa.. cafetariala poi vaangi kudichen [;)] [;)] idhu oruthanukkum puriyadhunnu nenakkaren :D
